CLUBS AND SESSIONS

The Shoreham Session takes place on the third Monday of each month at the Bridge Inn, High St, Shoreham-by-sea, at 8.30 for 9pm.

A dozen or so musicians each take it in turn to lead a (mainly traditional) tune or song while the others join in or just listen.

Musicians and listeners all welcome. Entry free!

 

The Golden Slipper Club meets on the first Thursday of each month at the Swiss Cottage, 34 Old Shoreham Road, Shoreham-by-sea, at 8.30 for 9pm.

Solo performers and small bands play short sets of 3 songs or tunes in diverse musical styles. An open mic night without the mic!

Musicians, bands and appreciative audience welcome. Entry free!

SHOREHAM FESTIVAL 2010

Following the success of the 2009 Shoreham Folk Day, this year we will be extending the opportunity to hear the best of Sussex folk music to two days.

Shoreham Folk Festival
will take place on
Sat 19 & Sun 20 June 2010
at the
Bridge Inn, Shoreham-by-sea

Two packed sessions of excellent folk music:

Saturday 2pm - 10pm
and
Sunday 2pm - 7pm

Followed by the usual monthly session on Mon 21 June.

Apologies to acts who asked to be in the lineup but we couldn't include. We just had too many requests this year.

SHOREHAM FOLKDAY 2009

Have a look at the photos from last year to see what went on, and to get an idea about what might happen this year!!

On the 4th July bands gathered from all parts of Sussex and beyond, to perform at a day of music, mainly in the folk style, in the garden of the Bridge Inn, Shoreham-by-sea. The sun shone, the beer flowed, and the music entertained. A great day was had by all. Pictures of the day are available .. here ..
