Magellan is a Sussex-based four-piece band that performs a range of traditional tunes and songs, and also contemporary material, mainly on acoustic instruments.

We play acoustic guitars, electric bass guitar, flute, penny-whistle, mandola, and piano-accordion, but not all at the same time! Find out more about the band members ... here.

Thought about a barn dance or ceilidh? Magellan has a caller who has helped hundreds of people to have fun at barn-dances and ceilidhs. Or if you don't want to dance, Magellan can play tunes to set the feet tapping and perform songs that soon have you singing along.

We can play for all kinds of parties, functions, PTAs and fund-raising events.

Magellan can regularly be seen and heard performing at the Shoreham Sessions and also at the Golden Slipper Club.
